Fig. 9.5. Elements of a control system of the fan of the cooling system and approximate places of their arrangement: 2/11 — the fan of cooling of the engine (FC) (speed 1); 2/12 — the fan of cooling of the engine (FC) operated by the conditioner; 3/1 — the ignition switch; 3/47 — the conditioner pressure sensor (And / C); 4/1 — the block of a control system of the Fenix 5.1 engine; 6/9 — the fan of cooling of the engine (FC); 24/27 — the 12-contact socket of a plait of a compartment of the engine, (And) a plait of the module of management of the engine (ESM); 31/1 — the left forward ground contact of a compartment of the engine; 31/2 — the right forward ground contact of a compartment of the engine; 31/25 — a ground contact under the dashboard at the module of management of system of injection of fuel;
67/23 — the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid of the engine (EST)

Elements of control of the fan of the cooling system are shown in fig. 9.5.
The electric circuit of connection of elements is shown on a color tab.
The control unit provides control of the electric fan of cooling of 6/9 (fig. 9.5) by means of the fan 2/11 relay; 2/12 after signals of sensors indicate the need of additional cooling of system.
Cars with the conditioner of air are equipped with the 2-speed fan. Besides, cars which are supposed to be operated in the countries with hot climate are equipped with the separate fan of cooling of BU. This fan functions along with the main fan. The fan works in the mode of low speed when:
— temperature of the engine is higher than normal;
— the air conditioner is switched on, the speed of the movement is small and pressure in the conditioner was exceeded after the last launch of the engine;
— temperature sensor which is in BU registered excess of temperature of BU.
BU turns on the electric fan of cooling on high speed if there is a danger of an overheat of the engine. After a stop of the BU engine can continue to support operation of the fan of cooling at a low speed if:
— before switching off the engine worked in the mode of the raised loading and temperature;
— the fan at the time of switching off worked in the mode of high speed, i.e. there was a danger of an overheat.
