2.24.3. Symbols on the rechargeable battery

On rechargeable batteries the following symbols can be applied:

— put on goggles;
— do not admit children to joint stock bank;
— do not allow proximity of fire, sparks, an open flame or smoking near joint stock bank;
— do not throw out the battery (the battery contains lead — Pb);
— see instructions in the management;
— danger — corrosion acid, during the work it is necessary to put on glasses and protective gloves, to avoid acid leak, not to allow a battery inclination at all;
— danger of explosion, at charging of joint stock bank is formed rattling gas;
— the accumulator has to be utilized in ecologically safe way, at the specialized enterprises.


       PREVENTIONS
Remember that during the work from joint stock bank detonating gas which is extremely explosive is emitted. The open flame or smoking near the battery can lead to its explosion.
The battery also contains sulfuric acid which can cause serious corrosion. At contact of acid with eyes, skin or clothes it is necessary to wash away its large number waters. At hit of splashes of acid in eyes it is necessary to wash out eyes then immediately to see a doctor.
