Replacement of a gas-filled emphasis of a trunk lid (fig. 11.71) needs to be made as follows:

— open a trunk lid and establish under it a prop;

— raise a clamp a little and take out a gas-filled emphasis from spherical hinges (2 pieces).

You make installation upside-down. At assembly surely grease spherical hinges.

NOTE When replacing a gas-filled emphasis it is necessary to produce gas from an old emphasis for what drill an opening with a diameter of 4 mm, as shown in fig. 11.71 (carry out drilling, having put on goggles).
