PREVENTION Before performance of work on front seats it is necessary to block SIPS system safety cushions. After completion of works it is necessary to unblock these pillows. It is impossible to put effort to a sitting sidewall.

Blocking of a safety cushion of the SIPS system (fig. 11.86) you make (by means of the device for safe transportation) as follows:

— uncover up;

— remove the device for safe transportation from the panel;

— pull the device for safe transportation over the sensor module.

You make unblocking of a safety cushion of the SIPS system as follows:

— remove the device for safe transportation from the sensor module;

— install the device for safe transportation from the holder on panels;

— put a cover into place.

You make removal of a seat (fig. 11.87) as follows:

— block a SIPS system safety cushion;

— remove a seat belt 2 from fastening (through an aperture for a SIPS system safety cushion);

— remove two protective covers 1 in a forward part of the directing sled (shift panels forward);

— having wrung out sideways, remove the side panel (the torx 20 screw behind);

— remove the back central console;

— turn off fixing bolts and nuts;

— disconnect sockets of heating elements (under a seat);

— disconnect the seat belt lock socket (under a seat);

— lift a seat vertically up and remove it.

You make installation of a front seat as follows:

PREVENTION At first be convinced that the safety cushion of the SIPS system of a new front seat is blocked by means of the device for safe transportation fixed on the sensor module.

— put a seat and tighten fixing bolts and nuts by hand;

— adjust the provision of a seat and tighten fixing bolts and nuts the moment of 40 N · m;

— establish protective covers;

— install the back central console;

— establish a seat belt, the moment of an inhaling of 45 N · to m;

— unblock a SIPS system safety cushion.

You make removal of a guide of a sled (fig. 11.88) as follows:

— block a SIPS system safety cushion;

— remove a seat belt;

— squeeze and disconnect the unlocking bracket, remove it;

— disconnect a cross-piece, having turned off one nut from outside on which replacement will be carried out;

— turn out a forward bolt;

— when replacing an internal guide remove the seat belt lock;

— turn out a back bolt and remove a guide (with the pneumatic shock-absorber).

NOTE When replacing the pneumatic shock-absorber it is necessary to produce from it gas for what drill 4 mm an opening, as shown in fig. 11.88.

You make installation of a guide of a sled as follows:

— rearrange a tension spring of a guide (if necessary);

— connect the pneumatic shock-absorber and install it in a frame;

— put a back bolt;

— shift a seat forward and put a forward bolt;

— tighten a bolt the moment of 15 N · m;

— put a cross-piece and tighten a nut the moment of 20 N · m;

— put the seat belt lock, tighten the moment 48 N · m;

— put the unlocking bracket (squeeze);

— when replacing an internal guide put the seat belt lock, tighten the moment 48 N · m;

— establish a seat;

— unblock an inflatable pillow of the SIPS system.
